Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    2 small cabbages
    6 pods green and red bell peppers
    6 medium onions
    1 Tbsp. mixed spices (in bag)
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. salt
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Prepare tomatoes, cabbages, peppers and onions, chopped finely.
    Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil; put in scalded jars and seal.
