Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. pears, chopped fine
2 c. onion, chopped fine
3 c. sweet green bell pepper, chopped fine
1/2 c. hot red or green pepper, chopped fine
3 c. sugar
3 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in large pot.
Bring mixture to a boil.
Turn down heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring often.
Ladle into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
Put jars in canner, cover with water and simmer for 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 6 pints.
