Baptist Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. all-purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter or margarine
5 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla butter nut flavoring
Preparation

Beat together shortening, butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add alternately with milk to first mixture.
Add flavorings.
Grease and flour Bundt pan (or 10-inch tube pan or large loaf pan).
Pour mixture into pan.
Place in cold oven; turn heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until cake tests done).
Let stand for 3 to 5 minutes before removing from pan.
