Quick Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 large can fruit
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except fruit.
    Pour into oblong pan. Pour fruit juices over batter, then add fruit.
    Pour 1/4 cup sugar over fruit.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until browned.
