Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. melted butter
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 box)
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips or coconut
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Set aside.
    Stir brown sugar and butter.
    Cool slightly.
    Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well.
    Add flour and mix in nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla. Pour into a greased waxed pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 40 plus.
