Squash Delight Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh yellow squash
    1/2 stick butter
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped English walnuts
    1 small chopped onion
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    bread crumbs
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook squash until tender.
    Drain.
    Add butter and mash with fork.
    Mix sugar, egg, mayonnaise, nuts, salt and pepper and cheese.
    Add squash.
    Pour into casserole dish and top with bread crumbs and dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
