Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 tsp. chopped onions
1 whole egg, beaten
2 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Mix and sift together all dry ingredients.
Add onions. Combine beaten egg with milk.
Add to dry ingredients.
Drop by spoon into deep, hot grease where fish have been cooked.
When done, they will float.
