Ingredients

1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour and 3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pt. cooked figs, drained syrup and mash
4 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Mix eggs, sugar and vanilla in bowl; beat with spoon and add oil and beat again.
Sift and add all dry ingredients.
Mix well; add mashed figs to batter and mix well.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
