Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 whole eggs
    1 c. butter
    2 1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 c. flour (plain)
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Beat eggs well together.
    Add dry ingredients to butter and sugar mixture alternately with buttermilk and beaten eggs.
    Add blackberry jam, nuts and vanilla.
    Grease and lightly flour four 9-inch cake pans.
    Pour in cake batter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until cake springs back from light pressure of finger.
