Peanut Butter Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. chunky peanut butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugars and peanut butter.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add to sugar/butter mixture and mix well.
    Form into 1-inch balls.
    Place on oiled cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
    Press with back of fork to flatten, making crisscrosses.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes or until set.
    Makes 5 dozen.
