Mama'S Toasted Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. quick-cook oatmeal
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 stick margarine
2 whole eggs

Preparation

Pour water over oatmeal and let stand.
Mix all dry ingredients together and set aside.
Cream together sugar and margarine.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Then add dry ingredients.
Add oatmeal, mix well.
Bake in a greased 9 x 13 pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
