Sunday Night Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion
    1 lb. hamburg
    1 can chickpeas
    1 can kidney beans
    1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    1/2 small head cabbage
    4 c. water
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 envelope minestrone soup
Preparation
    Chop onion coarsely and fry in pan until golden.
    Add hamburg and brown lightly.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Heat and simmer all together for about 2 hours.
    Best when made ahead and reheated.
