Fruit Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped pecans
    1 lb. chopped dates
    5 oz. chopped red and green cherries (candied)
    2 slices candied pineapple, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Combine pecans, dates, cherries, pineapple and vanilla in a large bowl. Sift flour, sugar and salt together and blend with the mixture. Fold in egg whites.
    Form into small balls. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 or 25 minutes.
    Makes about 11 dozen.
