Heavenly Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    2/3 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 egg whites, beaten
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup, salt and water until it forms a soft ball (240\u00b0) in cold water.
    Take out 1/2 cup of this mixture and cook the rest until it forms a hard ball (250\u00b0 to 265\u00b0) in cold water. On the beaten egg whites pour very slowly the 1/2 cup of liquid that was taken out, beating constantly.
    Then all the remainder. Add nuts and vanilla; keep beating until mass thickens and becomes heavy.
    Drop from a spoon on greased surface, or pour into a buttered pan and cut when cold.
