Millet Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 pieces Mullet (fillet)
    3 medium sweet potatoes, sliced and peeled
    3 to 6 pods fresh cayenne pepper
    3/4 c. shortening
    water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In large skillet, beginning with potatoes, alternate layers of fish and potatoes.
    Place whole pepper pods through layers.
    (For spicier dish, chopped peppers are stronger.)
    Divide shortening into three spoonfuls and place at edge of pan.
    Fill skillet to top of mixture.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat to simmer and cook, covered, for about 1 hour.
    When potatoes are soft, you're done. Serve with rice.
