Easy Portuguese Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cubed ham
    12 oz. Portuguese sausage, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    1 qt. water
    8 oz. can tomato sauce
    2 potatoes, cubed
    1 large onion, wedged
    1 carrot, cubed
    3 c. kidney beans
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Simmer ham and sausage in water for 1 hour.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook for 15 minutes or until vegetables are done. Serve hot.
