Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean pork, cut in small strips
    1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks (2 1/2 c.)
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. vinegar (can increase for tartness)
    2 to 3 tsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small green pepper, cut into thin strips
    1/4 c. thinly sliced onion
Preparation
    Brown pork.
    Add 1/2 cup water; cover and simmer until tender. Combine sugar, cornstarch, pineapple syrup, vinegar, soy sauce and salt.
    Add to pork; stir until gravy thickens.
    Add pineapple chunks, green pepper and onion.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
    Serve with extra soy sauce.
    Serves 6.
