White Moon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted Swans Down cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. butter
    1 c. milk
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Sift flour once and measure; add baking powder and salt and sift 3 times.
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, a little at a time.
    Beat after each addition until smooth.
    Add vanilla; fold in egg whites.
    Bake in greased 9-inch cake pans in a 325\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then increase heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 15 minutes longer.
