Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (1 1/2-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. melted fat
    1 c. hot water
    3 large onions, peeled and sliced

    Trim excess fat from meat; cut into small serving size pieces.
    Combine flour, salt and pepper.
    Place meat on bread board; sprinkle with half flour mixture; pound it into meat using rim of saucer (etc.).
