Bell Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel peppers (red and green)
    6 lb. onions
    5 lb. sugar
    1/2 gal. vinegar
    pickling spices
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon (optional)
Preparation
    Grind peppers and onions.
    Cover with water; add salt and bring to boil.
    Cook until tender.
    Pour mixture in strainer and drain.
    After it has stopped dripping, return to pot.
    Add vinegar and sugar; bring to boil and cook for about 30 minutes.
    Pour into jars and seal.
