Cherry Angel Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 angel food cake
    1 pkg. whipped topping mix (2 envelopes)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese (can use Neufchatel)
    1 1/3 c. powdered sugar
    1 can cherry pie filling (21 oz.)
Preparation
    Prepare whipped topping according to package directions. Blend in cream cheese and powdered sugar.
    Break cake into bite size pieces and place 1/2 in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Cover with 1/3 of cheese mixture.
    Repeat with remaining cake and cover with the remaining cheese mixture.
    Spoon pie filling on top; chill to set.
