Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. finely chopped squash
    4 c. finely chopped onion
    4 Tbsp. salt
    2 green bell peppers, finely chopped
    3 red bell peppers, finely chopped
    2 1/4 c. vinegar
    4 c. sugar or a little less
    1 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Mix squash, onion and salt and leave overnight in refrigerator.
    In the morning, rinse and drain well.
    Put in a large pan with peppers, vinegar, sugar, mustard, celery seed and turmeric.
    Cook until tender, then add cornstarch dissolved in water.
    Add to mixture and boil 5 minutes.
    Pour in sterilized jars and seal.
