Stewed Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium red apples, peeled and sliced
    1/2 stick butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. vanilla flavor
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Place apples in
    a
    pot.
    Add
    water,
    sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flavor and butter.
    Over a medium fire, cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    A nice after meal dessert. Serves 6 to 8.
