Garlic Soup(Sopa De Ajo) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 slices white bread, cut into small pieces
    4 c. chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Cook and stir garlic in oil in a 3-quart saucepan until brown. Add the bread and cook, stirring, until lightly browned.
    Stir in chicken broth, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
    Stir about half of the hot mixture very gradually into the egg.
    Blend into hot mixture in saucepan; boil and stir 1 minute.
    Garnish as desired.
    Yields 4 cups.
