Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted meal (home ground, yellow or white)
    1/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    butter (as needed)
Preparation
    Mix well
    all
    ingredients with buttermilk until medium thickness.\tDrop with large spoon in hot 10 to 12-inch skillet with 1 teaspoon
    each
    bacon
    grease and butter.
    Cook at 425\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Makes 7 to 10 pieces.
