Chari'S Favorite Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. broccoli with stems, chopped
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. water
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Pour oil in large pot over medium heat.
    Add onion and broccoli; lightly saute.
    Pour chicken stock in pot.
    The stock should cover broccoli and onion.
    Add pepper and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Place entire contents of pot in food processor.
    (Depending on the size of your processor, you may have to process in 1/3 to 1/2 portions.) Process until smooth.
    Replace processed soup in stock pot and add dissolved cornstarch.
    Slowly add milk, stirring while adding. Simmer 10 minutes.
    Do not let boil.
    Adjust seasoning to taste.
