Orange Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. grated orange peel
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
Add soda to milk.
Sift flour and salt together; add alternately with milk.
Add orange peel.
Bake in tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
Let cool.
Add frosting.
