Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 green peppers, cut in strips
2 lb. round steak, cut in strips
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 bouillon cube
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/4 c. water
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

In skillet, melt butter.
Add onions and green peppers; saute 2 minutes.
Remove and set aside.
Add beef, sprinkled with garlic powder.
Saute until brown.
Add bouillon cube, melted in hot water and simmer.
Blend together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water.
Add soy sauce, sugar and salt.
Stir into mixture.
Cook until thickened, adding water if needed to cook meat until tender. Add onions and green peppers.
Serve with buttered rice.
