Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Mix like biscuits.
    Work in flour until dough is stiff.
    The more flour you use, the crisper the tea cakes will be.
    Roll out dough, cut out and bake at 350 degrees, about 12 minutes.
