Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 small minced onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 lb. chopped lean beef
3 c. water
1 1/3 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 minced bell pepper (optional)
1 tsp. crushed comino
1 bay leaf
2 Tbsp. chili powder (Gebhart's)
1/8 tsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Heat oil in Dutch oven and add onion and garlic.
Saute until transparent.
Add
meat
and stir to break up meat.
Add remaining ingredients.
This recipe can cook for 3 hours with water\tbut if\tyou're\tin a hurry, use only 1 cup water and 2 small
cans
of tomato sauce.
Chili will be ready as soon as meat
thoroughly cooks. Time of preparation:
20 minutes to 3 hours.
Serves 4.
