Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    On slow speed, cream the margarine with the sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce.
    Mix in 1/2 cup nuts.
    Put in a 13 x 9-inch pan (greased). Sprinkle top of unbaked cake with mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 cup chocolate chips.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
