Shiny Top Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. unsweetened fruit (peaches or berries)
1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar, divided
1 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, softened
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt, divided
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Spread fruit in well-greased 9 x 12-inch pan.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix together to form thick batter: flour, 1/2 the sugar, milk, butter (cut in small pieces), baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Spoon over fruit and spread to edge of pan.
Set aside.
Mix remaining sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Sprinkle over batter.
Pour boiling water over all.
Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
(Put on cookie sheet; it boils over!)
