Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 tsp. sugar (added to yeast)
    4 c. flour, sifted with 1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. warm water
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar and set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar; beat in egg. Add warm water.
    Stir in dissolved yeast mixture and beat in flour.
    (You may need to add a little more flour to make a fairly stiff dough, but not too stiff!)
    Place dough in a bowl, cover and let rise until doubled. Press down and put in refrigerator.
