Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sliced onions
    6 c. beef broth
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. Parmesan cheese
    6 slices French bread, toasted
Preparation
    Saute onions in oil until transparent and thoroughly cooked. Add broth and pepper.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Divide into 6 oven-proof soup bowls.
    Top each with a slice of toasted French bread.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Place in broiler until cheese melts.
    Serves 6 people.
