Sweet Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 green tomatoes
    7 medium onions
    6 red bell peppers
    6 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 large cabbage
    12 green bell peppers
    1/2 c. plain salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    4 c. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Grind the tomatoes, cabbage, onions and peppers into a large pan. Add salt and let stand overnight.
    Rinse and drain.
    Put the drained vegetables into a large kettle and add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil. Boil 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
    Process in a water bath for 10 minutes.
    Wait 2 weeks before opening.
