Spanish Cocoa Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted cake flour
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. thick sour cream
Preparation

Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda together 3 times. Cream the shortening with sugar until fluffy.
Add egg yolks and vanilla and beat thoroughly.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternately in small amounts, blending after each addition.
Pour into greased pan and bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 40 to 50 minutes.
Makes one 8 x 8-inch cake.
