Two-Grain Date Muffins(Makes 12 Large) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. milk
    1 c. whole bran cereal
    1/2 c. old fashioned or quick oats
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 egg
    1/3 c. chopped dates (I like to add raisins)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Coat muffin pans with Pam nonstick spray.
    Mix flour, sugar, soda and salt in a medium bowl.
    In a large bowl, stir milk, bran cereal and oats.
    Let stand 2 or 3 minutes to soften.
    Beat in oil and egg to mixture.
    Stir in flour mixture just until moistened.
    Add dates.
    Fill prepared muffin pan 3/4 full.
    Bake 15 to 18 minutes, until tops are golden brown and wooden pick in center comes out clean.
