Molded Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    2 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. lemon juice (2 lemons)
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 medium-size yellow onions, finely chopped
    1 c. coarsely chopped sweet green pepper
    1 c. coarsely chopped sweet red pepper
    1 c. finely diced celery
    2 c. medium coarsely shredded cabbage
    3 c. medium coarsely shredded carrots
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in cold water in a large, heatproof bowl, for 5 minutes.
    Mix in 1 1/2 cups of the boiling water, lemon juice, sugar and salt; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
    Mix the remaining 1/2 cup water with the mayonnaise in a small bowl. Mix into the gelatin mixture along with the onion until smooth and well blended.
    Stir in green and red peppers, celery, cabbage and carrots.
