Kalops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round steak, cubed
2 Tbsp. oil
2 carrots, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 bay leaves
10 whole allspice
2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
water
2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Coat meat with flour and brown in hot oil in Dutch oven. Remove meat.
Stir in 2 cups water and cook and stir to loosen brown bits.
Add meat and remaining ingredients.
Cook and simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender.
Add more water during cooking time as needed.
Remove allspice and bay leaves.
Serve with pickled beets and mashed potatoes.
