Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix together shortening, sugar, chocolate, milk and salt in 2 1/2-quart saucepan. Heat to rolling boil, stirring occasionally. Boil 1 minute, without stirring. Place pan of frosting in bowl of ice water. Beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Add vanilla.
