Whole Wheat Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients, except wheat flour, together in bowl. Stir in wheat flour.
Cut in shortening.
Add beaten egg and milk into dry mixture.
Stir only until all flour is moistened.
Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 1 dozen, approximately.
