Shrimp Etouffee Recipe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. shrimp, cleaned and halved
    1/4 lb. oleo or 3 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onions
    1/2 c. bell pepper
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    4 cloves pressed garlic
    1 1/2 c. water
    salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
Preparation
    Season shrimp with spices and set aside.
    Melt oleo; add onions, celery, pepper and garlic.
    Cook slowly until onions are wilted.
    Add shrimp; simmer and stir occasionally.
    Cook 20 minutes.
    Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to mixture.
    Cook 15 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
