Peas And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. peas
    2 qt. water
    1 pt. fresh coconut milk
    salt to taste
    thyme to taste
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. rice, uncooked
Preparation
    Wash peas, drain and place in pot with 2-quarts of water. Prepare coconut milk.
    Put 1/2 pint coconut milk in boil for about 1 1/2 hours or until peas start breaking.
    Add remainder of milk, thyme and salt to taste.
    Wash rice, drain and add to peas.
    Cook under slow fire until done.
