Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can chunk pineapple, drained
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    reserved pineapple juice
    2 c. unpeeled apples, diced
    1 1/2 c. peanuts
    9 oz. carton Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix together drained pineapple and marshmallows, then set aside.
    Mix together next 5 ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Cool thoroughly.
    Fold into custard, pineapple and marshmallows.
    Refrigerate overnight. Fold in apples, peanuts and Cool Whip the next day.
