Baked Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped popcorn
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 250\u00b0.
    Place popcorn in a 4-inch deep buttered baking pan.
    Keep in oven.
    In large saucepan, melt butter on low heat.
    Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.
    Bring to a boil and stir constantly.
    Now, boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat quickly and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Slowly pour syrup mixture over popcorn.
    Butter pan for popcorn and mix.
    Add nuts before baking.
    Bake 1 hour.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
