Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can pie cherries
    1/2 c. orange juice (about)
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Drain cherries, reserving juice.
    Add enough orange juice to reserved juice to measure 1 cup.
    Bring juice to a boil in saucepan.
    Add gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
    Pour into bowl. Chill until partially set.
    Chop cherries.
    Combine cherries and sugar in saucepan.
    Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool.
    Add cooled cherries, pecans and celery to gelatin; mix well.
    Pour into large mold.
    Chill until set.
    Unmold onto lettuce-lined salad plate.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
