Granger Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 unbaked pie shells
Preparation

Mix together the molasses, baking soda and boiling water to form syrup.
Set aside.
Combine the flour, sugar and shortening to form a crumb mixture.
Divide the syrup between the three pies and top each with the crumb mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
