Streamlined Texas Caviar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can white hominy, drained
    1 (14 oz.) can black-eyed peas, drained
    1 c. picante sauce
    2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
    4 green onions, thinly sliced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 to 1/3 c. chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
    2 garlic cloves, minced
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; mix lightly.
    Cover; chill, stirring occasionally.
    Drain and serve with tortilla chips for \"scoopin' it up.\"
    Makes 7 cups.
