German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices bacon
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 c. less 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 to 3 lb. potatoes, peeled, cooked and cubed
Preparation
    Fry bacon; crumble when drained.
    Save 6 tablespoons of bacon drippings.\tHeat drippings\tin
    a frypan; add onions and cook until tender.
    Stir
    in
    vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling.
    Mix
    in
    bacon.
    Pour over cubed potatoes in serving dish; toss\tlightly
    to
    coat.
    Garnish
    with
    snipped parsley and sliced hard-boiled egg.
    Serve hot.
    Makes about 6 servings.
