Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk *
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Stir flour, salt, soda and baking powder together.
    In separate bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add bananas.
    Add sour milk alternately with flour mixture, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch cake pan for 25 minutes.
    This cake is good topped with cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with chopped pecans.
